Provisional cumulative tonnage for the first half of 2007 at the Port of Dunkirk was 28.4 million tonnes, up 1% over the same period a year earlier. Imports accounted for 20.5 million tonnes, a 3% increase.
General cargoes continued a significant growth, up 11%. Containers stood at 103,400 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs), up 5%.
Roll-on-roll-off (RO-RO) traffic with the United Kingdom increased 16% with 273,000 goods vehicles.
