A 6-year-old sheltie that ran away after being frightened by New Year's Eve fireworks spent about 20 days on the roof of an old sewing factory warehouse before being rescued, according to West Easton, Pa., news report. Because the industrial area slopes down toward the Lehigh River, the roof of the main warehouse is level with the parking lot. The dog apparently jumped from the main roof down about five feet to a lower roof on a smaller section of the building, where it became trapped.

A 30-year-old woman in the U.K. admitted to running a brothel from a converted warehouse, advertising as "Shady Ladies." She was sentenced to a 12-month community order with a requirement to undertake 70 hours of community work.

A warehouse in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia, which had been raided five times before by enforcement personnel of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry, was busted again in January. In the recent raid 1,241 items of clothing and 246 pairs of shoes carrying brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Polo and Levis, were seized. "Preliminary investigations showed that the clothes were supplied by a company in Kelantan [Malaysia] who brought them in from Thailand," said an official.
