“Multi-Generational Succession in the Family Business” will be one of many issues addressed at the 2013 International Warehouse Logistics Association Convention & Expo, March 10-12, 2013, at the Loews Portofino Hotel at Universal Orlando. This session, moderated by Tom Herche, president of United Warehouses, will include panelists from a variety of logistics service providers.
In another session, Rosalind Wilson, director general for Canadian Pacific Railways, will address the Challenges of Multi-country Transportation of Goods, from Canada to Mexico.
The event’s keynote speaker, Pat Williams, senior vice president of the Orlando Magic, will talk about Leadership and Extreme Winning.
Walmart’s efforts to integrate environmental sustainability into its supply chain will be the focus of a presentation by the executive vice president of Walmart Logistics, Chris Sultemeier, during the Tuesday program of the 36th Annual WERC Conference and WIRE event. More than 1,000 representatives from shippers, warehousers, retailers, manufacturers and distributors are expected to attend this event, to be held in Dallas, Tex., April 28-May 1, 2013.
“More and more of our members are looking for ways to factor sustainability into their operations and this session will provide information that they can use in those efforts,” said WERC’s CEO, Michael Mikitka.
