Update:
On Saturday, the Canada Industrial Relations Board ruled that thousands of rail employees must return to work and said that trains must be operating on August 26, according to a report from CBC news.
As part of the decision, binding abritration is requied by the union and the railroads.
As reported by Reuters on August 26, Canadian National Railway would have "would have preferred a negotiated agreement but was satisfied that the labour stoppage is over."
And the president of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, Paul Boucher, said the union would work with other labor groups as it mounts a legal challenge tothe decision, as reoprted by Reuters.

As of 1:30 am August 23, Reuters is reporting that workers at Canadian National Railway would begin returning to work today.
This was according to the Teamsters union, which made this announcement after the Canadian government moved to end the rail stoppage.
However, the union is waiting for an order from the Canadian Industrial Relations Board. A meeting is scheduled today between the union and company officials.
