APL Logistics Wins Military Contract

As lead logistics provider, APL Logistics will oversee consolidation and vendor management, air freight, ocean transport, customs brokerage and transit visibility services. AAFES ships about 3,500 forty-foot equivalent units (FEUs) of ocean cargo and 1.27 million kilos of air freight annually.

With 3,100 facilities in 30 countries, AAFES has 45,000 employees. It operates 147 retail stores and 2,000 fast food restaurants worldwide.
