MOL added Da Chan Bay to its Japan-Hong Kong lane

Beginning in August, Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd. (MOL) has added a call at Da Chan Bay in Shenzhen, China to its Japan-Hong Kong Straights Service.

The weekly route is served by three 3,500 TEU container ships (twenty-foot-equivalent unit). The company said the additional call at Da Chan Bay will meet increasing demand in Shenzhen, a rapidly expanding region. It also allows MOL to offer direct service from Shenzhen to Japan in addition to current service.

The port rotation will be: Tokyo (Mon-Tue) – Yokohama (Tue-Tue) – Nagoya (Wed-Wed) – Kobe (Thu-Thu) - Hong Kong (Sun-Mon) – Singapore (Thu-Fri) – Port Kelang (Fri-Sat) – Singapore (Sun-Mon) and Da Chan Bay (Thu-Thu) – Hong Kong (Thu-Fri) – Tokyo.
