Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. a multi-regional and inter-regional less-than-truck load (LTL) carrier, has opened a new warehouse facility that also will headquarter its OD-Warehousing and Distribution Services Division. The 160,000 square-foot facility is located in Thomasville, N.C. The move will allow the LTL carrier to better serve its customers in the Southeast, Northeast and Midwest markets of the United States.
The new warehouse facility includes an established Free Trade Zone, providing a multitude of business opportunities to Old Dominion clients.
“This new Thomasville warehouse supports the company’s commitment to our overall warehousing initiative,” says Chris Reynolds, director, warehousing and distribution services.
Old Dominion’s warehouse network now provides service in three areas of the country from locations in Commerce, Calif., Thomasville, N.C., and Worcester, Mass. Each location is strategically located to service a significant portion of the U.S. population as well as perform door-to-door services to and from points in the United States, the Far East, Mexico and Canada via Old Dominion’s international partner network.
