Intermodal Traffic Achieves Record

Intermodal traffic on US railroads totaled 9.35 million trailers and containers in 2002, according to the Association of American Railroads. Combined volumes on the 16 reporting US and Canadian railroads totaled 11.4 million trailers and containers, according to the AAR.
