The new multi-tenant facility adds 107,000 square feet of warehousing, bringing the Airport’s total cargo space to 1.45 million square feet. The Port Authority has recently opened a new 435,000 square foot cargo facility at its John f. Kennedy International Airport.
Almost a quarter of all air cargo coming to the U.S. arrives at the Kennedy and Newark airports. They house more than 1,000 cargo service companies, ranging from airlines to freight forwarders.
Among other features in the new $33.4 million Newark facility are 12 warehouse bays, each ranging from 8,500 to 9,300 square feet; 33 truck docks; and 20,000 square feet of unfinished office space for expansion on the second floor.
