Estes Introduces 3-Day Service from U.S. Southwest to Alberta
Freight transportation provider Estes has launched a three-day service to Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from six terminals in Texas and Oklahoma.
The ability to offer a three-day service is a direct result of an initiative the company implemented to increase its network efficiency. Estes accelerated freight processing, reduced freight handling and utilized direct lanes to reduce service to Edmonton and Calgary from five days to three. The service is available from terminals in Houston, Temple, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Oklahoma City.
One of the ways the company has achieved higher efficiency is by consolidating freight at inland regional gateways. This avoids congested border terminals and initiates document processing before a customer's shipment arrives at the border. Estes also provides access to experienced, bilingual PARS and PAPS specialists to help prevent needless delays at the border.
