This symbology is designed to encode additional product information, such as expiration dates and other item attribute data. RSS barcodes have been identified to solve problems in the grocery, retail, pharmacy and medical/surgical products where items are too small to allow for older barcode symbologies.

The RSS generator supports RSS14, RSS-14 Stacked, RSS-14 Truncated, RSS-14 Stacked Omnidirectional, RSS Expanded, RSS Limited, Composite, PDF417, MicroPDF417, UPC/EAN and Code 128 symbologies. RSS and Composite Symbology are the latest barcode types for space-constrained identification from EAN International and the Uniform Code Council, Inc. and will allow users to meet the GTIN and Sunrise 2005 standards.

The Image Generator is used to develop graphic barcode image files for import into other applications, such as PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, Quark or CorelDraw for printing purposes. The Forms Control is used to integrate dynamic barcodes into Microsoft .NET Framework Applications. Some of the primary features of this product are that it can create barcode image files as JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP and WMF formats. The copy to clipboard capability allows for pasting barcode images into applications and the graphics files can be generated according to the selected DPI of the file.
