IRVINE, Calif., July 15, 2003 - Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of end-to-end, industry specific enterprise software solutions for midmarket companies, today announced the acquisition of a strategic suite of warehouse management solutions from TDC Solutions, a long-time, successful partner of Epicor focused on the wholesale distribution industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Working together the past five years, Epicor and TDC have developed a strong solution for the distribution industry. TDC's warehouse solutions, marketed under an OEM arrangement as Epicor eWarehouse Data Collection Suite, Epicor eWarehouse Management and Fulfillment Suite, were developed specifically for and are deeply integrated with the e by Epicor suite. Together, these solutions form the Epicor for Distribution suite, a set of integrated business applications tailored to meet the requirements of the wholesale distribution industry.

Strong Benefits for Midmarket Companies

Offering an integrated solution to midmarket companies, Epicor is able to lower the total cost of ownership, enhance return on investment, while delivering increased efficiencies that stand-alone warehouse management solutions provide.

STL Group of Companies is a value-added reseller of new and used Avaya and Nortel telephone systems and equipment. By implementing the e by Epicor suite, including the eWarehouse solution, the company has saved significant time and money, reduced its inventory headaches and made gathering sales and financial data easier than ever. "After implementing Epicor's distribution solution, we were able to reduce our inventory variance from five percent to less than half of a percent," said Sonya Elliott, Director of IT for STL. "The integration between the back office suite and the warehouse management solution was critical in achieving that improvement."

Focused Solutions for Distributors

The enhancement of a focused vertical solution for distribution through TDC products and key staff will further strengthen Epicor's established industry presence. Epicor's distribution business is supported by experienced, vertical-specific development, sales, consulting and support resources focused on providing solutions to this industry.

"Epicor remains on the leading edge of the trend to provide end-to-end, industry-specific solutions to the midmarket that incorporate functionality traditionally thought of as best-of-breed," stated James Norwood, senior director of product marketing for Epicor's Enterprise Group. "We started working with TDC several years ago to significantly extend our integrated solution for the distribution industry. The acquisition of these solutions is a logical step for Epicor as we continue to increase our focus on key vertical markets."
