Handling more than 300,000 relocations each year and operating in more than 40 countries with 5,000 employees, SIRVA announced it will secure data on laptops for its 500-person mobile workforce. SIRVA's extensive network of agents and service providers are located in more than 175 countries and handle an enormous amount of detailed customer information, said the company. To protect this sensitive data, the company is implementing the PGP Encryption Platform to secure data on laptops and file servers as well as in e-mail and file transfers.

"The platform approach enabled us to quickly secure our laptops, which was a critical requirement," said Chuck Shmayel, vice president of infrastructure and security for SIRVA. The company was then able to ensure end-to-end e-mail protection, followed by encryption of batch transfers.
