QLogic Selects Service Parts Logistics Technology

April 1, 2009
High-performance networking equipment supplier QLogic will manage domestic and international service parts to a four-hour and next-day availability using Choice Logistics.

Mission-critical parts logistics for QLogic are specified in service level agreements in windows of four hours or next business day. To support those service levels, Choice Logistics’ Global Logistics Center (GLC), will provide call center, control desk, inventory control, field services and account management operations. Choice will also employ its proprietary IT platform, which offers global real-time visibility and asset tracking, providing insight into inventory levels.

QLogic serves a wide variety of large and mid-size organizations in academia, energy, government and finance. Choice will utilize 100 of its 400 global strategic stocking locations (SSLs) to support QLogic with sites in the US, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific (APAC).

“QLogic was seeking a global specialist to help manage mission-critical service parts,” said Jeff Nesler, senior director of global services, QLogic Corp. “After a thorough review of the available providers, it was clear that Choice provides capabilities that are an ideal match for our organization. The ability to leverage their expansive SSL network allows QLogic to focus on business operations without worrying about service part management. Their global scope further helps us better serve our customers when and where they need us,” he added.
