Seegrid has introduced the Tow Tractor S7 AMR, an autonomous mobile robot designed for material handling workflows that uses the company’s Grid Engine technology. Based on 3D probabilistic mapping and stereo vision technology, this system eliminates concern for map aging and enables precise indoor navigation without requiring physical infrastructure modifications.
Seegrid’s human-in-the-loop approach for training vehicles is designed to ensure safe, predictable and kinematically feasible routes that can be modified for scalability, adapting to user needs. And as facility layouts evolve, the Tow Tractor can accommodate changes of up to 60% in facility configuration.
Seegrid’s Tow Tractor can handle a range of material handling applications, including parts-to-line, putaway, replenishment, long-haul transport, trash removal, and cross-docking.
With a towing capacity of up to 10,000 lbs, the Tow Tractor can handle heavy loads and multiple carts, with a 9-hour battery life. Optional Auto-Hitch and Auto-Charge functions enable autonomous cart connections and automatic charging, minimizing downtime and manual handling in hazardous zones.
The Tow Tractor AMR is equipped with comprehensive safety features that include both primary and secondary sensing technologies. Seegrid’s enterprise fleet management software, Fleet Central, enables real-time monitoring and control of an entire Seegrid AMR fleet.
