Kee Safety Inc. has introduced its OSHA-compliant Kee Gate self-closing safety gates to provide permanent hazard protection for openings, ladder/stair access points, roof hatches, platforms, mezzanines, and restricted areas in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities.
Suitable for new construction or as a retro-fit solution to existing fixed structures where protection at openings with regular access is required, Kee Gate is available in nine standard sizes from 18” to 48” wide. All gates can be modified without cutting or welding up to 3-1/2” to accommodate larger or smaller openings, the company states. The U-bolt connection allows the gate to be connected to flat, square, or tubular posts from 1” to 1-1/2”.
Kee Gate features a corrosion-resistant finish (galvanized to ASTM A53) and is available powder coated in “safety yellow” or a requested RAL color. It can be installed using common hand tools and can be manually tensioned. It is fully adjustable and will connect with other Kee Safety systems, including KeeHatch roof hatch railings, KeeGuard roof edge railing systems and Kee Klamp steel and Kee Lite aluminum safety railings, as well as Easi-Dec safe access platform systems.
Kee Gate is independently tested to comply with OSHA safety standards and is also compliant with appropriate ANSI and IBC standards.
