The It’sFresh! ethylene-removal process consists of a discreet sheet used throughout the fresh produce industry’s global supply chain to maximize value from growing, transporting and retailing fruit. Inserting the sheet into bulk and retail fresh produce packaging traps ethylene, the natural ripening hormone that has been difficult to manage in-store. This can extend product shelf life and quality by as many as three extra days in store, helping to curb food waste. It’sFresh! is expanding its presence in the U.S., opening a new headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minn.
