FJL supplies a number of logistics services to the entire range of Fujitsu companies located in Japan. While Exel will continue to serve the Fujitsu market, it will be able to expand its supply chain capabilities throughout the country by the acquisition of nationwide distribution and service centers. Additionally, FJL has far-ranging road transport operations and highly skilled workers, all of whom will move to Exel’s payroll. To now, FJL has focused solely on its domestic logistics services, which should now be expanded by being integrated into Exel’s global network.

As for FJL’s present primary customer, Fujitsu expects that by leveraging Exel’s expertise it will be able to reduce product costs while improving customer service. The acquisition will triple Exel’s presence in Japan.
