Daifuku Holding Company Coordinates U.S. Subsidiaries

Daifuku Co., Ltd. (Daifuku) announced that it has formed Daifuku Webb Holding Company to oversee all of its U.S. subsidiaries including Jervis B. Webb Company and Daifuku America Corporation.  The new holding company began operating on January, 1, 2011.

“We established Daifuku Webb Holding Company to improve coordination efforts among our North American businesses,” said Masaki Hojo, President and Co-CEO of Daifuku Co., Ltd. “By increasing the exchange of ideas, products and resources, we will achieve greater success and better service to our customers.”

Daifuku Webb Holding Company is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Daifuku’s Managing Director Takashi Hiramoto serves as Chairman and Co-CEO of Daifuku Webb Holding Company. Brian Stewart serves as President and Co-CEO of the holding company, in addition to serving as President and Co-CEO of Jervis B. Webb Company. Nobo Morita continues to serve as President of Daifuku America Corporation, in addition to serving as a board member of Daifuku Webb Holding Company.

In a related story, Jervis B. Webb Company has named Gerard Gonos as director of manufacturing. In this role, he is responsible for leading all aspects of Webb’s manufacturing processes and operational improvements. Gonos has more than 22 years experience working in the manufacturing industry. Before joining Webb, he served as a turnaround and restructuring specialist for a major carbon materials manufacturer. Gonos also served as general manager for several Tier 1 automotive suppliers, where he oversaw manufacturing, quality, and lean initiatives.
