Emptoris, an enterprise supply management solutions provider, and diCarta Inc., a provider of enterprise contract management software, have merged. This follows a two and a half year partnership. Teams from the two companies had been working closely together for the past nine months. The combined company, known as Emptoris, will offer its comprehensive supply management and enterprise-wide contract management solutions to large companies.
Avner Schneur will remain as president and CEO of Emptoris. The combined company will have 360 employees and will continue operations under the Emptoris name at its headquarters in Burlington, Mass., and diCarta’s San Carlos, California, offices. Emptoris now has more than 150 enterprise customers, including ConocoPhillips, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft, Motorola, and United Healthcare. Emptoris has a global presence across Europe and Asia Pacific, with the product deployed and supported in over 51 countries and in 16 languages.
Emptoris has also announced Emptoris 6, a fully integrated solution for spend analysis, sourcing, contract management, compliance and supplier performance management. This release follows months of joint development between Emptoris and diCarta and delivers support for supply management and contract management processes. The release includes a user portal that allows customers to access all solutions seamlessly.
