"Beyond the competitive necessity of having a more substantive presence in the growing Mexican market, BDP's investment in JB Cargo Group reflects a good fit between two family-owned companies that share similar values," said H. Timothy Bolte, vice president-pan Americas for BDP.
JB Cargo Group was established in 1992 and provides transportation and logistics services, including air, sea and inland transport, between Mexico and major import and export markets around the world. It is based in Mexico City, but it also has operations in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Queretaro and Puebla.
BDP's global network of subsidiaries, joint ventures and strategic partnerships extends to 113 countries. The Philadelphia-based logistics company has offices and affiliates in 28 other Latin American and Caribbean countries to provide freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution, air, ground and sea transport as well as customs brokerage and import documentation as well as other services.
