May 14, 2008
Two new daily nonstops grow the carrier’s international coverage.

One daily nonstop Boeing 767-300 travels from New York’s Kennedy International Airport to Barcelona, Spain’s El Prat Airport; the other from Kennedy to Milan’s Malpensa Airport. Reflecting on the additional service, Dave Brooks, president of American Airlines Cargo said, “The Barcelona and Milan routes further enhance American’s international network, providing additional capacity between Europe and the United States via NewYork—one of our most popular gateways. New interline opportunities are also opened to the Middle East and Asia through these new routes.”

American offers shippers a wide range of cargo products for flight-specific cargo as well as online tracking. In early April the airline announced enhanced web functionality that now includes online access to import status details from US Customs and Border Protection. Offered is Expeditefs, a guaranteed express freight product for enhanced boarding priority, service reliability and 100% flown-as-booked that also extends to trucks that serve the airline throughout the globe.
