RedPrairie Corp. (Milwaukee, Wis.) acquired StorePerform Technologies, Inc. (Denver), a provider of store execution management software. StorePerform will become part of RedPrairie’s Retail Productivity Solutions division (formerly BlueCube Software). With this acquisition, RedPrairie will reportedly offer an integrated workforce management solution that combines store execution management solutions with optimized labor scheduling, time and attendance, and training management.

“Through this acquisition, we are providing customers an end-to-end approach to workforce optimization by marrying best-in-class BlueCube workforce management with StorePerform store execution management solutions for a unified, end-to-end solution that optimizes the retail workforce,” said RedPrairie CEO John Jazwiec.

Red Prairie’s current retail productivity software optimizes store workforce scheduling based on projected customer traffic. StorePerform’s software allows retail managers to schedule the labor required to track inventory resets, new displays, product recalls and similar activity. The software is used by Best Buy, Lowe’s, Borders, Ross and other large retailers. Going forward, StorePerform will unify and support its products and services in conjunction with the RedPrairie’s Retail Productivity Solution Suite. The acquisition reportedly fits in with Red Prairie’s broad market strategy to connect the consumer with store operations, employee performance, distribution and manufacturing.

“Extending into store execution management is a natural evolution for RedPrairie. Even companies with the best retail and supply chain operations in the world still need to improve the critical last 20 yards, between the backroom and the sales floor. Now with the addition of StorePerform, we are the only company that can enable retailers to fully integrate their supply chain with their in-store operations end-to-end,” said Jazwiec.
