A dampening system for mezzanines handles applications where sound and —vibration are detrimental. The system was originally created to solve specific acoustic suppression needs of the U.S. Postal Service and the 2004 Republican National Convention. This proprietary system employs a mezzanine deck comprised of alternating isolated layers of solid, soft and acoustical material. It also utilizes a special fastening system that eliminates the transfer of —vibration and sound between layers. In addition, the system incorporates an isolation barrier between beams and columns and between columns and the floor. W. A. Schmidt Inc. www.mhminfo.com/3922-218
