Boise Building Materials Distribution (Boise, Idaho) announced today that the company has signed a letter of intent to lease a facility in Lathrop, California. The 30-acre site, which includes a 150,000-square-foot building, will be converted into a new building materials distribution center to serve the northern California and northern Nevada trade areas.
"Entering this new market will allow us to better serve our existing national account customers and also new, local customers," said Stan Bell, senior vice president of Boise Building Materials Distribution. "Entering the northern California trade area is a great opportunity for us, and we look forward to providing customers the products and services they need."
The company plans to have the new center fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2005. Boise is a national, stocking wholesale distributor of building materials. Through 28 facilities across the United States it distributes a broad line of building materials, including engineered wood products, plywood, lumber, siding, framing accessories, composite decking, roofing, and insulation.
