ASHTABULA, Ohio—Material handling product manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. (MOD) has been named one of the larger rotational molders in the U.S. by global trade publication Plastics News in its annual review of the industry.
Ranked as 17th out of more than 250 companies, the company reported $31 million in roto molding sales in 2007. The record year marks the culmination of the company's multi-million dollar investments in capital equipment, operator training, computer technology and new product development, according to MOD President Robert Dunne.
MOD was the first company in North America to purchase the automated Leonardo rotational molding system, which designs and manufacturers bulk containers and collection carts.
