MHEDA Introduces Recruiting Web Site

VERNON HILLS, Ill.—The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) has launched a Web site called Gateway in an effort to recruit students seeking employment opportunities in the material handling industry.

Available at www.mheda.org, the Gateway Web site features a resume bank where students can post their resumes and industry professionals can search for candidates. Professionals interested in hiring students for internships, cooperative opportunities and full-time employment can post their contact information on the site and also indicate their availability and interest in providing college guest lectures and facilitating customer site visits.

Gateway is separated into three areas for students, advisors and industry professionals. The site features an introduction to material handling, a link to a multi-media job bank, job descriptions, publications and searchable databases for resumes and job postings. All postings and searches are free and accessible to the industry at large, according to MHEDA.

MHEDA designed the Web site in cooperation with CICMHE, the College-Industry Council on Material Handling Education, and the Material Handling Industry of America.
