AML expands its M7100 Series wireless family with the M7170 Vehicle Mount Terminal.

The AML M7170 Vehicle Mount Terminal mounts securely to industrial vehicles such as forklift trucks and enables real-time data transfer between mobile operators and back-end host applications. Built to last with heavy-duty steel construction and an IP54 environmental rating, the M7170 is ideally suited for real-time receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping applications in rugged industrial environments.
The AML M7170 Vehicle Mount Terminal features an industry standard 802.11b radio, full 77-key QWERTY keypad, built-in power converter for voltages up to 54 VDC, and a ¼ VGA, backlit LCD for easy viewing, even in dimly lit warehouse environments. The unit’s intuitive menu driven set-up supports quick and easy configuration – minimizing the time and costs associated with system implementation. An Intel StrongARM processor and embedded Linux provide fast and reliable performance without “lock-ups”. Optional heater for cold storage applications.
The M7170 Vehicle Mount Terminal integrates easily and quickly into a wide range of computing environments. Each M7170 VMT ships pre-loaded with VT100/VT220 terminal emulation, a native TN5250 client, FTP server, HTTP server, TELNET client, Web Browser, WEP and WPA/WPA2 advanced encryption and authentication capabilities. And as a member of the AML M7100 family of wireless terminals, the M7170 Vehicle Mount Computer rapidly integrates into wireless data collection applications where AML M7100 wireless handheld terminals and AML M7140 stationary terminals are deployed. The M7170 Vehicle Mount Terminal is available for immediate shipment from AML.
