NAPLES, Fla.—The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its May 2008 booked orders index fell 12% from its April 2008 index.
The May 2008 index represents a decrease of 19% from the May 2007 index, according to CEMA.
The 12-month index for booked orders in May declined 1% from the 12-month index in April. The CEMA billed sales (shipments) index in May was up 1% from April’s index. The May 2008 index represents a decrease of 11% from the May 2007 index. The 12-month index for billed sales was down 1% from April 2008’s 12-month index.
