Columbia Machine introduces the first high through put/small package palletizer. Ideal for companies packaging products in cases that measure as small as 5 inches wide.
In the past, small high center gravity cases could not be fed through conventional palletizers due to their tendency to tip over when they hit a case stop or when a flight bar row pusher contacts the row. Columbia’s redesigned infeed includes improvements to four areas on the palletizer: the metering, turning, row forming and layer forming sections. New modular plastic belts form smooth transitions between metering belts and from belts to row former rolls. The addition of Columbia’s soft turn technology with the use of close roll centers allows for accurate turning and eliminates product damage. To positively transfer a row of product, Columbia added a wide overhead reciprocating row pusher. The final improvement is to the layer accumulating table where plastic belting is used to allow for smooth transition from row forming to the layer forming area.
For more than 40 years, Columbia Machine has manufactured high-level, floor-level, and robotic palletizers and accessories in the USA. Features include: rugged construction, setup flexibility, upgradeable designs and speeds ranging from 1 to over 150 cpm. All Columbia palletizers are backed by 24-hour customer support and parts service.
