    Crown Takes On Great Pumpkin

    Crown Equipment demonstrated the outdoor capabilities of its new C-5 Class V pneumatic tire lift truck recently by hauling the winning 1,600-pound pumpkin at Pumpkinfest 2010, an annual event held in New Bremen, Ohio, where the company is headquartered. Crown supplied the C-5 and other lift trucks to lift and transport more than 20 pumpkins for the event’s “largest pumpkin competition.” Nearly every pumpkin weighed more than 1,000 pounds.

    During the annual event, the New Bremen Giant Pumpkin Growers baked the world’s largest pumpkin pie, measuring 20 feet in diameter and weighing 3,699 pounds. New Bremen replaced its previous Guinness World Record set in October 2005 with a 12-foot diameter pie that weighed 2,020 pounds.
