IFCO Systems (Houston), has opened three new pallet services facilities located in Westborough, Mass, Tooele, Utah and Bakersfield, Calif. These facilities, serving the Boston, Salt Lake City and central California markets, bring the total number of the company's pallet and container service centers to 53. The addition of these new locations further strengthens its position in the asset-based pallet and container logistics services industry.
The new facilities are situated with ample capacity for production and storage for just-in-time inventory services for area customers. The facilities will bring at least 25 new jobs to each area in the first year.
"Being a national company,” said Dave Russell, president, IFCO Systems North America, “allows IFCO to offer a complete range of services for pallet management -- from supply through recovery, reconditioning and disposal.”
IFCO is an international logistics service provider with more than 150 locations worldwide. It operates a pool of more than 75 million reusable plastic containers, globally, which are used primarily to transport fresh produce from producers to leading grocery retailers. In the U.S., it provides a national network of pallet management services, with more than 50 million wooden pallets recycled annually.
