Stewart replaces Ryuichi Kitaguchi, who is retiring.
Stewart had served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Webb. He joined the company in 1981 as a junior engineer and has held numerous positions, including vice president of engineering and senior vice president of operations.
Stewart earned his bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the board of directors of Webb Co. and the Engineering Society of Detroit.
Webb also added the following employees to its board of directors: Aki Nishimura, senior vice president of Daifuku America Co.’s AFA division; Lon McAllister, vice president of Webb’s manufacturing, quality and procurement; and Ken Hamel, vice president of the company’s airport systems division.
