UFP Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom engineered packaging materials and component products, offers custom reusable corrugated plastic containers, with or without foam dunnage, for intra/inter-plant handling of component parts and sub-assemblies. Ideal for industrial manufacturing and material handling applications, UFP’s containers feature a modular design that optimizes cubic density, allowing more parts to be stored per container. Because the containers are reusable, the need for disposable packaging, such as kraft corrugated boxes, is eliminated, resulting in significant cost savings. UFP’s containers can be collapsible and customized to suit a specific distribution environment to reduce freight costs for returned containers.
Developed from tough corrugated plastic, UFP’s containers are weather resistant, waterproof, lightweight and reusable. Less expensive than metal or injection-molded trays, UFP’s containers are constructed to withstand harsh conditions and can be easily cleaned of dirt or grease. Depending on the distribution environment, a reusable corrugated plastic container will outlast kraft corrugated boxes by several years. Extra options to increase the weight-bearing capabilities of the container are available, including a metal bar sonically welded to the edges, and plastic rivets to snap the box together. Permanent or removable custom foam dunnage interiors are also provided when product positioning and/or surface protection is desired.
