The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has awarded eight task orders to Accenture Federal Services to enhance the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) that provides materials and services to its global workforce. Accenture will enhance ILMS capabilities for diplomatic mail services, system support to DOS procurement inventory and warehouse management and overall asset management. The work also aims to increase supply chain efficiencies for the department and provide greater visibility into the delivery of goods and services to Americans worldwide.
To execute the program, Accenture is providing operations and maintenance support and round-the-clock customer support to more than 20,000 system users at 260 embassies and consulates around the world. ILMS supply chain management support includes fleet management, global inventory optimization analysis and warehouse management support.
The State Department also awarded Accenture procurement work from the Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs that includes providing procurement system support for all system users domestically and overseas. The contract supports the State Department’s goal of increasing efficiencies in the purchase and delivery of goods and services.
