Recently, the American Red Cross honored Wire Belt Company of America (Londonderry, N.H.), a developer of advanced belting solutions, for its 2005 donation of $56,000 to the American Red Cross to save lives and provide hope and assistance to disaster victims.
For the Hurricane Katrina relief fund, Wire Belt posed a challenge its employees: for every $1 they raised to assist the relief effort, the company would donate $2. More than $26,000 was raised. Earlier in 2005, Wire Belt raised more than $30,000 to aid those who were touched by the devastation of the December 2004 tsunami in South East Asia.
“Were it not for the help and assistance of people who generously support the Red Cross, they would not be able to provide shelter, food, health and mental health services to those affected by such disasters. I am proud that Wire Belt and our employees are able to help this worthy cause. And I am proud of what the Red Cross was able to accomplish because of donations like ours,” said David Greer, president and CEO, Wire Belt.
