Beginning in the third quarter of this year, Caterpillar will perform the work at its Summervillle, SC facility. Overall, Caterpillar recycles 2 billion pounds of material each year. The Summerville facility is one of 18 Caterpillar Remanufacturing locations in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia.
David Renz Eaton Truck Group vice president-sales & marketing and aftermarket, points out that for customers there will be no changes in distribution of the company’s remanufactured transmission through truck OEMs, OEM dealers and associated distribution channels.
Commenting on the agreement, Renz said, “Our relationship with Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division allows us to take advantage of their global scale and footprint, world-class technology and significant focus on product availability and reliability. This new relationship will allow us to respond to our customers’ and business partners’ needs by continuing to provide them with the high-quality Eaton remanufactured components they have come to expect.”
