iGPS Pallets Receive FM Certification

ORLANDO, Fla.— Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Co.) announced that its plastic pallets have received FM Global’s fire-retardant certification.

Industrial property insurance company FM Global awarded the approval— American National Standard for Classification of Idle Plastic Pallets as Equivalent to Wood Pallets—after conducting fire tests on the plastic pallets.

Each iGPS pallet is embedded with four redundant RFID tags. It weighs 30% less than a multi-use wood pallet and is 100% recyclable, according to the company.

iGPS received Underwriters Laboratories Inc.’s 2335 certification in 2007.
