Vendor News: FKI Logistex North America Now Offering Dedicated Service And Maintenance Contracts
FKI Logistex (St. Louis), a supplier of integrated material handling solutions, reports that it is now offering service and maintenance contracts for its high-level crane, automatic-storage-and-retrieval (AS/RS) installations. The contracts let organizations fix their service and maintenance costs at a set annual amount while receiving complete coverage for everyday maintenance, predictive maintenance, normal use parts and emergency breakdown repairs.
FKI Logistex will work with each customer to tailor service and maintenance agreements to their specific requirements. For one current customer with seven sites in operation and a further three sites planned for 2006, FKI Logistex provides five dedicated regional technicians and a dedicated account manager to oversee all activities. In other instances, clients have opted for on-site representatives.
FKI Logistex service and maintenance technicians and account managers are fully trained members of the company's Customer Service and Support team. They use a variety of tools, including maintenance reporting software, to keep customers and account managers apprised of service and maintenance activities. An FKI Logistex service and maintenance program can provide full on-site stock replenishment of spare parts used for service, maintenance and repairs, or pull parts from the FKI Logistex St. Louis spares center.
"The trend in the material handling industry is for customers to hire industry specialists like FKI Logistex to service and maintain high-level systems such as AS/RS cranes," says Percy May, director, sales and marketing, FKI Logistex North America. "With an FKI Logistex service and maintenance contract in place, all of the responsibility for service and maintenance is with FKI Logistex. This frees customers from having to hire and train their own skilled personnel."
