When power is restored, air actuates the piston, and a spring inside the mechanism compresses to release the locking device. The rod lock can be mounted to an NFPA-style pneumatic cylinder or used as a standalone retrofit to a lift truck.
According to AME, the RLN series can be used on lift trucks, presses, scissor-lift tables, testing and positioning equipment and assembly machinery.
