SENSORS GUIDE DIFFICULT MATERIAL
The SE-38 First*Edge is a threshold-based edge scan sensor that eliminates the effect of opacity variations in non-woven material. It detects the first edge of a web and then ignores subsequent material voids and porosity. ADJUSTABLE-FIELD SENSORS
The Q60 Adjustable-Field sensor features a mechanically adjustable sensing cutoff point. They detect objects with relatively low reflectivity while ignoring background objects. The Superprox SM906 sensor series now features DeviceNet communications capability, which decreases downtime and installation costs. The 30-mm ultrasonic sensor is small and has short deadbands.
