The new patent-pending conveyor system, NMR-6689TM, eliminates potential interference from metallic components, thereby increasing read-rate accuracy and allowing clients to use multiple RFID systems within close proximity without misreads or double counts.Full release: Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. announced at the RFID World Conference and Exposition that it has developed the industry's first 100% non-metallic roller and conveyor side frame system to significantly enhance the performance of RFID-enabled material handling applications. The new patent-pending conveyor system, NMR-6689TM, eliminates potential interference from metallic components, thereby increasing read-rate accuracy and allowing clients to use multiple RFID systems within close proximity without misreads or double counts. The first NMR-6689TM system is scheduled to be delivered for initial product testing early next week. Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd. is the leading manufacturer of non-metallic conveyor sections for the material handling industry. Its patented non-metallic conveyor products are the standard for RFID use since metallic conveyors and

components create interference and potentially compromise RFID tag readability. Globe's Brandonite® high-performance composite materials are ideally suited for RFID use due to its superior performance for durability, strength and radio frequency transparency. As a result, its non-metallic conveyor systems are installed in more US airports than all other RFID-conveyors combined. "We have heard loud and clear from the marketplace about the need to improve the performance of RFID-enabled material handling systems", said Carl W. Forsythe, President and CEO of Globe. "We are pleased to offer the first 100% non-metallic roller conveyor system that helps eliminate electromagnetic interference to optimize RFID tag readability, particularly in situations where line speed or close-proximity singulation is critical." "The NMR-6689TM conveyor is ideal for RFID use because of its superior performance for transparency, attenuation and reflectivity. Now, users can now place the RFID antennae directly underneath the conveyor to obtain true 360° coverage to accurately read RFID tags, even on higher speed conveyor systems," said Brian C. Evans, Vice President of Design Engineering at Globe. "And, we designed the NMR-6689TM with composite ball bearings to evenly distribute the load along the roller axis to yield a product that is quiet and should provide years of maintenance-free operation", he added. The NMR-6689TM non-metallic roller conveyor system will be on display at the NA2006 Material Handling and Logistics Trade Show from March 27-30 in Cleveland, Ohio. Globe's booth is #3019, which is located in the Equipment, Components and Manufacturing section. About Globe Composite Solutions, Ltd.
