ATLANTA - LXE Inc., a leading manufacturer of rugged wireless computers that improve the performance of supply-chain execution applications, announced the newest addition to its family of Windows-based wireless computers - the MX6 handheld computer. The unit, with its lightweight contoured design, high-visibility color display, imaging technology, and full-shift battery, is the perfect handheld for a broad range of data collection applications in the warehouse and distribution center.
The MX6 runs on the Windows® Pocket PC 2002 operating system with a powerful, battery- saving Intel® XscaleTM PXA255 processor allowing customers the power and flexibility to deploy a wide range of sophisticated mobile applications.
"The MX6 has been designed to be used over extended periods of time with minimal user fatigue," says Tim Crews, LXE product manager for the MX6. "But don't let its lightweight ergonomics fool you. With its Xscale processor and Pocket PC 2002 operating system, it's very powerful."
The unit is available with integrated AdaptusTM Imaging Technology for instant point and shoot 1D and 2D barcode scanning, and even photos – great for capturing images of damaged goods. In addition, the full alphanumeric keypad and the large, color, ¼-VGA display with touchscreen makes data entry a breeze. The MX6's WiFi(tm) compliant 802.11b radio easily integrates into almost any wireless local area network.
LXE will demonstrate the MX6 at Frontline's International Supply Chain Week Conference and Expo in Chicago, September 16-18. As always, the MX6 is supported by LXE's award-winning Customer Support team, winner of the Mobile Star Award(tm) for best customer service in mobile hardware for the second consecutive year.
