U.S. Defense Logistics Agencys to Deploy Symbol RFID Technology

ODIN technologies (Dulles, Va.) selected Symbol Technologies (Holtsville, N.Y.) to support its recent contract with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). DLA is the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) logistics combat support agency for U.S. military forces worldwide. Estimated at $14.2 million, ODIN’s contract calls for the deployment of passive UHF RFID equipment throughout 26 Defense Distribution Centers globally by the end of 2007.
