ANAHEIM, Calif.—Freight Management Inc., an outsourced provider of freight services, announced it has become a SmartWay Transport partner.
The SmartWay Transport Partnership is a joint effort between the EPA and the freight industry to increase energy efficiency while reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
Freight Management’s FMI Green program has two components: Opti-Green and Distribution Pollution Solution. Opti-Green analyzes a company’s current shipping practices and determines options for reducing carbon emissions, lowering freight costs and speeding transit times. Distribution Pollution Solution (DPS Calculator) is a calculator that companies use to determine mode of transportation and choose a shipping point for a freight movement that reduces carbon emissions.
