William T. Gates CEO, Standard Corporation, A UTi Worldwide Company and WERC Board President, recently announced that Robert Shaunnessey has accepted the Executive Director position for WERC. Said Gates, “Bob is exceptionally qualified, and has a wealth of experience in our industry and will provide excellent leadership for WERC.”
Mr. Shaunnessey was a founder and partner with Sterling Logistics. Previous to that he served as President and CEO of Records Management Services reporting to the Chairman of the Board. Bob also served as President of Midwest Distribution for ITEL-GATX and as Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration for DSC Logistics. “His accomplishments in these positions are many and evidence a can-do attitude and forward-thinking approach,” continuted Gates. “We are happy to welcome Bob to this position.”
