Fortna is assisting Tech Data Corp., a distributor of technology products, as it continues to implement new systems and processes to further strengthen its supply chain operations in the United States. Fortna has retrofitted three of Tech Data's U.S. logistics centers with FortnaWCS, helping to increase visibility into daily order volume and create new efficiencies by enhancing the capabilities of existing warehouse management systems and automation capabilities.

Moving forward, Fortna and Tech Data plan to implement the system in all six of the company's U.S. logistics centers, which comprise more than 2.2 million square feet of warehouse space.

Fortna's Warehouse Control System (WCS) manages materials handling systems with a standardized, web-based user interface. It also provides visibility into processes in real-time and offers flexibility to balance workloads with a real-time dashboard for floor activities.

"Tech Data is committed to creating an even more efficient and productive logistics engine for our customers and vendor partners," said Darryl Branch, senior vice president, Logistics and Integration Services, Tech Data. "FortnaWCS is one way we're accomplishing that goal."
