The leasing companies of both systems will operate as NationaLease. Under the agreement between NationaLease Purchasing Corp. (NPC)--the purchasing arm of NationaLease--and AmeriQuest, the latter will be the provider of value-added services as well as purchasing. AmeriQuest’s president and CEO, Doug Clark, will serve in the same role in the combined company.

AmeriQuest is a provider of a wide range of transportation-related products and services. It offers value to fleet operators by leveraging their combined purchasing power.

NPC operates as a buying corporation for the members of NationaLease and has more than $300 million in annual purchases. Bill Ford, president and CEO of NPC and NationaLease says, “This merger will not only strengthen the NationaLease network, but also enables us to cherry pick the best services from each organization to deliver to a larger group of truck lessors. AmeriQuest benefits by adding NPC’s significant purchasing capabilities.” Shareholders of both companies expect approval of the merger in November.
