The Horizon Hunger is the first of five new U.S.-flag ships Horizon Lines will receive from the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in South Korea. Gross tonnage of the vessels is 28,592 tons, and the ships have a capacity of 2,824 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs). The ships will be deployed, starting in 2007, in TP1 service linking the U.S. West Coast with Guam and Asia.
