The expansion will bring the company’s processing and storage capacity at the Jacksonville International Tradeport to 850,000 square feet when it opens in September 2008. The 50% increase in space follows a technology upgrade completed a year earlier. The physical expansion will accommodate faster-than-expected growth.

The new facility will be built according to the US Green Building Council’s Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system.

Coach opened its first distribution facility in Jacksonville International Tradeport in 1995. It expanded in 1999 and again in 2004. It retrofitted its distribution space in 2006.

Jacksonville-based Stellar is handling the design, engineering, and construction of the expansion.
